PANELISTS & TOPICS
Each panelist will have a half hour presentation, followed at the end by time for Q&A’s and general discussion.

Scott Lingle, D.D.S.

Dr. Lingle is a past president of the MN Dental Association. He was also a pioneer in both implant surgery and implant education in Minnesota. He is now retired from practice but still teaches in the prosthodontic clinic at the U of M School of Dentistry.

Dr. Lingle will discuss the referral process, but also when it is appropriate for general dentists to do their own implant surgery, with a focus on treatment planning and the final prosthesis.

David Paulson, D.D.S., MS

Dr. Paulson attended dental school at Marquette University’s Dental School, and completed his residency in periodontology at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Paulson believes periodontal health is the foundation for a healthy mouth and strives to help his patients maintain their natural teeth by utilizing evidence-based treatments and the latest technology. Dr. Paulson is a member of the American Board of Periodontology, American Academy of Periodontology and the International Team for Implantology. He is currently practicing at the Periodontal Center.

Dr. Paulson will be speaking on the extraction of anterior teeth and immediate placement of an implant with a custom healing abutment.

Dr. Scott Rake, D.M.D.

Dr. Scott Rake graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1995. He went on to complete his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Rake joined Dakota Valley Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1999. He has been an adjunctive clinical professor at the University of Minnesota division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery since 2000. He is a frequent lecturer to both University of MN Dental students, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residents. Dr. Rake is a board-certified member of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Minnesota Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Rake will be speaking on seven essential steps for successful implant placement.
