Due to social, psychological, nutritional, functional, and esthetic motivations, individuals are expecting satisfactory intermediate fixed prosthetic options when seeking treatment for their compromised dentition. In addition, an interim immediate denture (IID) can be used by the restorative dentist to assess the available inter-occlusal space, create a radiographic surgical guide, direct implant placement, and provide diagnostic information for the final prosthesis. Minnesota Dental Association Announces 2013-14 Officers

The Minnesota Dental Association recently held its annual House of Delegates meeting at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Bemidji where new officers were elected. The newly elected 2013-2014 officers include: Dr. Michael Perpich, as President; Dr. Daniel Rose as President-Elect; Dr. Pete Cannon as First Vice President; Dr. Kevin Dens as Second Vice-President; and Dr. Travis Schmitt as Treasurer.
