Dr. Howard Taylor Receives President’s Award
(Minneapolis, MN) – – Dr. Howard Taylor was chosen as the recipient of the Minnesota Dental Association’s President’s Award. He was honored by nearly 9,000 dental professionals in attendance at the association’s recent annual convention, the Star of the North Meeting at St. Paul’s RiverCentre.
Dr. Taylor graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1971. He grew up in Northeast Minneapolis and has practiced in that area of the Twin Cities for four decades, focusing on advanced restorative care and complicated diagnosis cases.
Throughout his career, he has been actively involved with the Saint Paul District Dental Society, including as its president, as chair of several committees and study clubs, and on its Speakers Bureau. He has also been involved with a number of charitable causes, including serving as the Minnesota Mission of Mercy lead for post-operative care and spearheading a fundraising initiative for the needy within his faith community. Elected in 2011, Dr. Taylor also serves as the MDA’S Speaker of the House, a roll in which he has become instrumental in affecting change within the Association’s House of Delegates structure and encouraging greater membership engagement in the governance process.
